I’ve been off the blog for a few days because I have just been so busy with the hustle. The hustle is making is rain, and it’s starting to pour.
One of my main business clients is Tanner’s Bar & Grill in the Kansas City area. My company has produced their clothing for more than 10 years. If you have ever been in a Tanner’s and noticed the clothing on the wait staff and the bartenders, it originated with me.
For more than 25 years Tanner’s has never stopped growing. In addition to their locations throughout Kansas City there are also locations in Nebraska and Wisconsin.
The newest location opening in two weeks is in Aggieville, home of Kansas State University. Tanner’s contracted me to produce the shirts for them. In preparation for their opening Tanner’s placed a large order of grey and white short-sleeve and long-sleeve t-shirts, and purple tanks. Everything is going to be Kansas State Wildcats colors.
For a big chunk of the weekend and through this morning I was knocking out more than 300 shirts with the cool new Aggieville Tanner’s logo on them. The apparel is now on its way to Kansas City just in time for the opening.
The Aggieville order comes on the heels of another order of Tanner’s tie-dyed shirts for a promotion for one of the Kansas City locations. I don’t even know which Tanner’s is doing this promotion, but the shirts sure looked cool.
In addition to all the apparel production I have been working behind the scenes on a new job in poker. I have been auditioning at a number of different places looking for the right fit. I am very close to securing a position at a major Las Vegas Strip casino. More details to come soon.
Back on the felt from the player side I have been playing quite a bit of no limit hold’em at Green Valley Ranch. Prior to 2014 I had rarely played much poker at GVR, and preferred going to the Strip. However, I am enjoying the game at GVR, getting to know the locals and seeing a lot of my old friends and clients who’ve migrated over from my old place of work.
I’ve bagged six winning sessions in the past eight. Although I am only plus $362 for those eight sessions it feels good to be on the positive side.
It is not just raining, it is pouring. I don’t have an umbrella. And it feels great.
