Harberts Becoming Force As Sixth Man For Wolverines

A year after finishing 25-1 overall and qualifying for the Class-2A State Basketball Tournament, Dike-New Hartford is again one of the top small-school basketball programs in Iowa. The Wolverines are on a five-game win streak and 8-2 overall.

Dike-New Hartford boasts a starting lineup of five seniors and a bench that includes 6-foot-7 sophomore power forward Colton Harberts.

Harberts is finding his groove midway through the season. In his past three games, he has come off the bench to average 11 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game. He scored a team-high 14 points in a rout of Sumner-Fredricksburg last Tuesday.

Dike-New Hartford has a Friday night showdown against undefeated Waverly-Shell Rock.
